Checking the CA ARCserve Universal Agent Service Status

How to check the status of the Universal Agent Service?

Solution:

The CA ARCserve Universal Agent service facilitates remote backup and restore of Oracle databases. During the installation the service is installed with a startup type of Automatic. The service's status can be verified via the Windows Services applet.

To view the CA ARCserve Universal Agent Service status

  1. Open Control Panel and Services.

    The Services dialog opens.

  2. Locate the CA ARCserve Universal Agent service icon.

    The current mode of the service is displayed.

  3. To start or stop the service, highlight the CA ARCserve Universal Agent service icon and click Start or Stop, respectively.
