RAID Drives

RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Devices) enables you to set up a system using multiple drives to process (back up, restore, etc.) data. The concept of RAID was originally used with an array of hard disks. Data is written across all the drives (or disks) used in the array in a predefined order.

With RAID, you can use an array to process jobs such as back up and restore. The drive array you set up appears (on all informational screens) as a single drive. Internally, the multiple drives are accessed in parallel.
