Disaster Recovery - Client Agent

Disaster Recovery allows you to automatically retrieve information for each workstation on the network using the Client Agent. When a machine is backed up using the Client Agent, the information needed for disaster recovery is retrieved, such as hard disk partition information, network card information, and Windows Registry information. Disaster Recovery uses this information to create the machine-specific boot disk of the Disaster Recovery boot kit. With this information, the original configuration of the hard disk and partitions can be restored exactly as it was before the disaster occurred. This information is also used to connect to the network for remote disaster recovery.

For detailed information on how to install the Client Agent, see the CA ARCserve Backup Client Agents Guide.
