The Agent for Oracle contains a number of features that improve performance. Among those features is RMAN. The agent works with Recovery Manager (RMAN), an Oracle utility that you can use to backup, restore, and recover databases. The agent also lets you submit backup and restore jobs through the Oracle Backup Manager GUI.
