When you back up a local or remote CA ARCserve Backup computer, the computer-specific information required to perform disaster recovery tasks is saved on the CA ARCserve Backup server.
If the CA ARCserve Backup server fails, computer-specific disaster recovery information can be lost as well. To avoid this type of data loss, CA ARCserve Backup can store computer-specific disaster recovery information to a remote location on an alternate computer. This feature allows you to access disaster recovery information if the CA ARCserve Backup server fails and create computer-specific recovery disks.
