Add Media During Single-Step Spanning

There are three possible scenarios involving the "open door condition", all associated with single-step spanning:

• Adding media to an empty slot in a magazine during media spanning to allow the completion of a backup job.
• Adding a magazine with additional media during media spanning to allow the completion of a backup job.
• Swapping media that are full for new media during media spanning to allow the completion of a backup job.

For all three of these scenarios, you are prompted to insert one or more media to allow CA ARCserve Backup to complete the backup job. After you insert the media, click OK to continue the backup job. The library inventories all of the slots in the group. Once the inventory is complete, the backup job will continue.
