Add, Delete, and Modify RAID Devices
You can add, delete, or modify a RAID device at any time using Device Configuration.
To add, delete, or modify a RAID device, perform the following procedure:
- From the CA ARCserve Backup home page, open the Configuration menu and select Device Configuration.
- Choose the server you want to configure, and then click Next.
- On the Options dialog, select the RAID Device option button, and then click Next.
- To add, delete, or modify a RAID device, follow these instructions:
- To add a new RAID device, click New.
- To delete a RAID device, select the device and click Delete.
- To assign a device to a RAID, select the RAID in the RAID column, select the device in the Device column, and then click Assign.
- To remove a device from a RAID, select the device and click Remove.
- To change the RAID level, select the RAID and click Properties.
- When you are done, click Next to open the Summary screen. Review the information about the RAID devices you have configured, and click Finish to accept the changes.
- A dialog opens, informing you that you need to restart the Tape Engine for the new settings you have configured to take effect.
- Click OK to exit the Setup program.
- Restart the CA ARCserve Backup Tape Engine.
