Disaster Recovery offers the following features:
Flexibility
- You can create recovery boot disks locally and remotely.
- You can recover any machines using the storage devices attached to your CA ARCserve Backup server
- Supports full RAID and tape library restore procedures.
- Supports multiple session tapes and spanned tapes.
- Supports MTF (Microsoft Tape Format) tapes.
- Supports backup through the Windows Client Agent.
Enterprise-Wide Support
- Supports multiple tape drives and multiple host adapters.
- Supports use of tape drives in autochangers.
- Supports Storage Area Network Option.
Usability
- There are no special backup procedures to learn. Disaster Recovery works with regular media backups.
- Wizards help to create recovery boot diskettes, partition and format hard drives, scan sessions, and begin restores.
Remote Disaster Recovery
- Allows you to use the storage devices attached to your CA ARCserve Backup server when you are recovering any machine on your network. You do not need to carry media drives or changers to a machine where you want to recover data.
