Agent for Oracle

The CA ARCserve Backup Agent for Oracle acts as a channel to allow CA ARCserve Backup to efficiently back up and restore Oracle Server databases. The agent helps CA ARCserve Backup retrieve, and send data to and from the Oracle Server in a consistent manner.

Use CA ARCserve Backup and this agent to:

• Back up table spaces belonging to online databases by taking advantage of the Oracle backup features.
• Restore a complete database or individual database objects such as a table space, control file, or archive log.
• Schedule your backup using the powerful scheduling features of CA ARCserve Backup.
• Back up to a wide array of tape storage devices.
