Agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server

The CA ARCserve Backup Windows Agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server works with CA ARCserve Backup to efficiently back up and restore Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services data. The agent helps CA ARCserve Backup retrieve and send data to and from the servers in your network in a consistent manner.

CA ARCserve Backup and this agent offer these features:

SharePoint Server 2003

• Supports backup and restore functionality for both SQL and MSDE/WMSDE databases.
• Provides protection to search indexes, backward compatible document libraries, and the Single Sign-On database for Microsoft SharePoint Portal 2003 installations.
• Supports database complete, database differential, Files/FileGroups differential, and Transaction log backups for SharePoint databases. Supports only complete backups for non-database data (such as search indexes).
• Enables both SharePoint databases and non-database data to be restored to an alternate location.

SharePoint Server 2007

• Supports backup and restore of SharePoint Server 2007 Farm and Farm components--Web Application, SharePoint Services Provider with associated search indexes, Single Sign-On (SSO) databases, Windows SharePoint Services Help Search, and Global Search settings.
• Enables SharePoint to be restored to its original location or to an alternate destination.
• Supports backup to a wide array of storage devices.
