A window is an area of a panel with visible boundaries in which information appears. Windows do not have an action bar. Windows can overlap on the panel, one panel superimposed on another. Only the topmost window is active.
When you set the model value YSAAFMT to *CUATEXT, newly created device functions default to action bars and windows for generated applications. Only Select Record (SELRCD) functions default to a standard window header/footer but you can make any other function a window by selecting a window header/footer for it from the function options.
