Standard Source File Names

OS/400 standard shipped system names for source files for each type of source (QCLSRC, QRPGSRC, QTXTSRC, QDDSSRC, QCMDSRC, QCBLSRC, QPLISRC, QPNLSRC, QCSRC) should be used since they are the default values on all the CL and CA 2E Toolkit commands that use source files; for example, the OS/400 Create physical file (CRTPF) command or the CA 2E Toolkit Create Object (YCRTOBJ) command.

Keep in mind:

• PL/1 copybook members should be kept in a QPLICPY file.
• C standard members should be kept in a file H.

You can use the CA 2E Toolkit create source physical files (YCRTSRCPF) command to create a set all of these files in a specified library, including descriptive text.
