CA 2E and Mnemonics

The CA 2Eapplication generator has a facility to generate entity names automatically if the CA 2E YALCVNM model value has a value of *YES. Mnemonics are generated as follows:

• The first mnemonic is generated arbitrarily to be unique within entity type.
• The second mnemonic is derived from the entity types:

  - Field data types (DTE - DT, CDE - CD, TXT -TX).

  - File types (REF - RF, CPT - CP).

  - Standard function types (EDTFIL - EF, DSPFIL - DF).
